SPOTLIGHT ON INSTRUCTION
This week Mr. Crites’ AP German 5 class conducted debates in the German language. Students debated on controversial topics. The class spent a week preparing their arguments in the language lab by researching statistics, scientific articles, and research-based evidence. This end-of-semester project came as a culmination of what students learned in previous units this semester including politics, government, and argumentation. The debate project will equip students with the skills they need to perform well on the AP test in May.

SPRING PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE UPDATE
This Spring, we are restructuring the format of Parent-Teacher conferences. Each level (high school and middle school) will offer one evening conference session for three hours instead of two evenings, and it is recommended that parents attend only if they have concerns about their student in any course. Parents are reminded that they are always welcome to communicate with teachers through email or phone, and that they are able to stay informed through MyRCS.
Please mark the following update on your calendar for March:
Middle School Parent-Teacher conferences: Thursday March 9, 4:30 – 7:30
High School Parent-Teacher conferences: Wednesday, March 8, 5:00 – 8:00
Conferences on March 1st and March 2nd have been cancelled.
