On June 7, 2017 Yearbook students took a field trip to visit Oakhurst Country Club to meet with Jostens graphic artist. While there, students worked with a professional artist to design the theme and cover for the 2018 yearbook.  Don't forget to buy a yearbook at registration in the fall- it's going to be an awesome book!

COACH IN THE SPOTLIGHT - ERIC MAGIERA

Picture
Coach Eric Magiera is fresh off his first OAA Red Division championship, and has led Rochester to back-to-back District titles, and his team is currently gearing up for regional play on Saturday. Eric has been a staple for the baseball program the past seven years, winning three district titles, a regional title, and appeared in the state quarter finals last season. Eric has not only found success on the diamond, but he also helped his student-athletes realize a much larger goal of becoming high character young men. Coach Magiera championed the “Fight-Win” program, which has helped to raise thousands for the Rainbow Connection in Rochester Hills. Magiera is also responsible for many of the baseball field improvements over the years, helping the Falcons raise the funds to purchase a second batting cage, new scoreboard and sound system, as well as many field improvements. If you visit the baseball webpage, you will also see Magiera’s commitment to helping his players reach the next level. He includes several recruiting media’s that help Rochester Baseball players receive exposure to scouts.
“Eric is a prime example of someone who is committed to the larger goal of helping his student-athletes become the best person they can be” added Athletic Director Luke Beach. “I often say that Eric is his own AD, because he is beyond organized, but when you work with him it is evident how much he cares about doing things the right way”, said Beach. “I’m very proud to have Eric as a key member of our athletic department, he works extremely hard to give our kids the best experience possible”, Beach goes onto say.Magiera will lead the Falcons on Saturday, May 10th, as they take on Royal Oak in the regional semi-finals.
